We now know what was behind a scary moment in the Shaler Area School District. Fire crews were called to the scene earlier this morning after reports of smoke inside the middle school. It turns out a high water sensor triggered the smoke alarm along with dust from work being conducted on the roof. Students were evacuated for a short time while officials investigated, but we're told that there was never any danger, and that everyone is back inside the building and everything is back to normal at this time.

That call came in around 8:45 in the 1800 block of Mount Royal Boulevard.
Students were reportedly being evacuated, but has since returned to classrooms.
