Sheetz continues to grow and is celebrating a milestone on Thursday, the opening of its 700th store.

To celebrate the location’s opening in the Columbus, Ohio area, Sheetz donated a truck load of non-perishable food, gave away prizes and offered free Sheetz for a year.

If you’ve been traveling west over the past year or so, you’ve noticed more Sheetz locations.

Since 2021, over 20 stores have opened in Midwest Ohio. Sheetz plans to move even further west in the coming years.

In 2025, Sheetz will move into Michigan, with it’s first store opening in the Detroit area.

To accommodate the expansion, Sheetz opened a new innovation office space in Bakery Square, East Liberty.

“As a family, we are humbled to celebrate this remarkable milestone and are thankful to each and everyone of our employees, past and present, who have helped make this possible,” said Travis Sheetz, President and CEO of Sheetz. “Driven by a mission to constantly reinvent ourselves and put the Sheetz as we know it today, out of business, I couldn’t be more excited about the future and our path to 1,000 stores.”

The first Sheetz location opened in Altoona. Now they operate in six states, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland.

Sheetz recently announced they are opening a distribution center in Findlay, Ohio, right near Toledo.
