The owner of Shorty’s Waterfront has announced the restaurant and bar will close for a month at the end of August “to evolve its concept.”
In a release, Herky Pollock, the President and CEO of Legacy Hospitality Partners, admits that the location has failed to bring “great food, stimulating décor and memorable hospitality.”
“We owe it to our employees, their families, our customers and the community to do better. When we don’t, we let everyone down,” said Pollock. “In this case, we believe we let a lot of people down. We take full responsibility for that, and we intend to make it right.”
The new concept will be called “Shorty’s Social Kitchen”.
“Thank you for supporting us and, more importantly, for giving us the opportunity to make it right. We know we can do better. We promise you we will do better.”
The other Shorty’s Goodtimes Bar will continue to operate, at normal, on the North Shore.
