Two people are in custody after incidents in downtown Pittsburgh last night.
Police responded to a fight among minors in Market Square just before 7:30 p.m.
As officers tried to break up the fight, one of them was allegedly assaulted and suffered a hand injury.
One person involved was arrested others ran from Market Square.
According to the criminal complaint, an officer heard a group minutes later on Liberty Avenue talking about how they beat up a cop.
When the officer approached the group, one person, later identified as Jausean Randall allegedly ran.
Max owns a business nearby and caught the police chase and shots fired on video.
"He runs beside a vehicle that's parked in the alley and then he tosses the gun into the middle of the alley, probably because he doesn't want to have it on his person when he gets picked up because there's no way he's getting away and as the gun hits the ground, it discharges and fires a round," said Max. He's lucky he didn't hit himself or one of the police officers."
Randall was eventually arrested and allegedly admitted to firing a gun. He is facing over a dozen charges, including aggravated assault.
Police are treating the incidents separately.
