We're learning more about the school bus driver who died in a crash in Butler County Tuesday.
31-year-old Lindsay Thompkins had dreamed of driving for a living since he was a kid.
“When he grew up he wanted to be a bus driver, a truck driver, and he lived his dream,” said his sister Shereka Simmons.
Shereka Simmons tells Lynne Hayes-Freeland she learned Tuesday afternoon there had been a crash and Thompkins wasn't responding to radio communications. She frantically searched for answers for hours, and later learned her outgoing, caring brother had died on scene.
“I’ve just been getting so much love from everyone saying how good of a bus driver he was, how respectful he was and that touches my heart,” added Simmons.
A 14-year-old girl riding on Thompkins bus also died on scene.
Authorities have not publicly identified her.
