A new development coming to the North Shore next year will be ready for Pirates Opening Day, but some small changes have been made to the original plan.
Herky Pollock, partner in HiLife Hospitality, says the entertainment plaza will have something for everyone, but two restaurants will be completed at a later date.
There will be a 15,000-square-foot experiential Highball Social Club, with games, full-service bars, Italian Street Fair, TV screens and a take-out window called Fastball.
Then there will be a separate part called Sugarbird, with a beer garden specializing in chicken fingers, tenders, and nuggets and ice cream.
But it won't all open at once.
“In the meantime, we’re going to have food trucks in the plaza for those that come down to the North Shore who want to take part in the festivities and want something to eat and drink,” said Pollock.
The plaza itself will be ready by opening day. He expects Sugarbird to be ready by summer and Highball next winter.
Pollock says changes to budgets forced them to adjust the timetable for opening, but that it will be worth the wait.
