PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - Pennsylvania State Representative Eric Nelson, along with several parents, filed a lawsuit against school districts in the region over mask mandates.
Nelson believes mask mandates are about control, not safety.
"This isn't a Covid thing, this is a control thing," Nelson said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show Wednesday. "If this was about safety, then we would be recognizing antibodies, recognizing that a large portion of our population has recovered - and that includes children."
Nelson says the first amendment and the health order itself recognizes the ability for people not to participate, but then behind the scenes offer crushing penalties for anyone who does.
