With all the talk about the draft, you may be wondering what the host team has planned for the hundreds of thousands of people expected to be here for it.
The team announced details Wednesday of their 12,000 square foot "Steelers Country" interactive space, located in Point State Park.
Among the things you'll find there, a display that's designed to give you the feel of a diehard Steelers fan's basement in the 70s, a display featuring oversized renderings of the team's six Super Bowl Rings, a Terrible Towel art piece, yard games and more.
A global-themed bar will be also rotate with locations from Steelers bars around the world, offering drink to purchase.
It will be free to attend during draft hours:
Thursday, April 23 noon – 10 p.m.
Friday, April 24 noon – 10 p.m.
Saturday, April 25 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
“With our deep football roots and central location, we know fans from across the league will flock to Pittsburgh for this year’s Draft,” said Dan Rooney, Vice President of Strategy for the Pittsburgh Steelers. “We also know Steelers Nation will be out in full force, so we wanted to create a dedicated place for our fans—some of the most passionate in all of sports—to gather, celebrate our traditions, and enjoy a memorable Draft experience together.”
Also, all six of the Steelers’ Super Bowl trophies will be display across from Steelers Country at Point State Park.
