A new report conducted by a Washington think tank finds that women and Black workers are underrepresented in Pittsburgh's tech workforce.
The analysis by the Brookings Institution finds that city's computer, engineering and management roles go primarily to white men, with women making up just 31 percent of what are often the most high-paying jobs.
The report finds that less than half of the city's Black residents are awarded such roles.
The gap is slightly worse than the national average for employment for women and minorities.
