An incident that began Wednesday on the South Side ended with a car crashing into a pool Thursday night.
Pittsburgh Police say they were alerted to a suspect driving on the Parkway East around 7:30 last night that had been involved in a traffic stop at the BP on East Carson Street the previous evening.
During that incident the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Jeremy Neal, produced a gun from his coat pocket as deputies with the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office attempted to apprehend him. He dropped the gun in the back seat.
Neal then took off speeding through a construction area between 9th and 7th Streets. He hit a trailer and a building, almost hitting two construction workers.
Police were unable to find his vehicle until Thursday night when Neal led multiple agencies into Forest Hills where he ended up crashing into a pool off the Adrmore Boulevard exit.
Neal was taken into custody unharmed and faces multiple charges. No Police were injured in either incident.
A Pittsburgh Police cruiser was partially submerged. Pittsburgh River Rescue EMS divers helped tow truck drivers remove the car from the pool.
Neal faces various charges including aggravated assault.
