PITTSBURGH (KDKA Radio) - A suspect is on the loose after crashing a car into a Pittsburgh business Saturday afternoon.
Pittsburgh police said officers identified a vehicle driven by a man with felony warrants related to robbery and domestic violence shortly before 7:45 p.m. Saturday at a traffic stop.
They pursued the car and the driver drove away and he crashed into a business near the intersection of East Carson Street and Becks Run Road.
The suspect ran toward the river on foot after the crash. There was also a female passenger in the vehicle. She was evaluated by EMS and was not injured. She had a legal firearm on her and she was taken into custody.
The Zone 3 Police Commander believes the susepct may have gone through a drainage tunnel.
The suspect has not been found. Multiple police units, a K9 officer, River Rescue, and Pittsburgh Fire helped search for the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
