
A car chase that started in Cambria County ended with a suspect shot and killed by police in Westmoreland County

Officials say police in Richland Township were trying to serve a warrant after a domestic incident with a weapon when the suspect, Krysten Pretlor of Johnstown in in a vehicle, reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour at points and ending up in Derry Township.
While on Route 22 and Brushwood Road, PA state troopers attempted to get Pretlor out of the car but were unsuccessful.
That led to gunfire being exchanged with the 35-year-old, killing Pretlor.
An investigation caused significant traffic delays on Rt. 22 in the New Alexandria/ Blairsville area.
State Police are investigating.
Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli released the following statement on Thursday:
“… There was an officer involved shooting in Westmoreland County on Rt. 22 in Derry Township and ultimately the actor did not survive.
The investigation is ongoing. I will await the full and complete investigative report. After a thorough and unbiased review of the evidence, I will make a legal determination as to the use of force.”
