Allegheny County Police are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in Whitehall Borough.
The incident took place a few minutes after 6 a.m. as agents with state Attorney General's Gun Violence Task Force were serving a warrant at the Hillside Meadows apartment complex in the 1800 block of Parkline Drive.
Police say as officers tried to enter an apartment, a 54-year-old man fired multiple shots at them.
Agents returned fire, wounding the unidentified man who died at the scene.
