PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — Officers from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police responded to a 911 call on Wednesday afternoon for reports of an "abduction in progress."
The attempted abduction was reported to be within the 300 block of Bausman Street around 2:55 p.m.
Shortly after their arrival, officers began a search and discovered a vehicle believed to be associated with the reported abduction.
However, the vehicle was found on the 1000 block of Banksville Road at that time.
SWAT was immediately called in.
Both the alleged abductor and alleged victim were quickly found and without injury.
So far, the investigation has revealed that "several people" had rented numerous rooms in neighboring hotels on Banksville Road.
Many of the people had warrants for their arrests, and many were detained for questioning.
The investigation is ongoing.
