A man sliced off two of his roommate's fingers with a sword during a dispute in Butler County.
Police say the trouble started inside a house on Ridge Road in Franklin Township near Butler on Labor Day.
Brandon Caruso told troopers that his roommate raised his fist in anger after he had a fight with his mother who also lives at the house.
Caruso picked up a sword and pointed at his roommate to back him off.
Police say Caruso then hit his roommate, cutting off two of his fingers.
The victim left with towel around his hand and police tracked Caruso's phone and arrested him in Connoquenessing Township.
Police searched the home and found the sword and blood as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Caruso has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault among other charges.
