North Hills teen will serve up to 5 years after crash that killed two boys

North Hills teen Aiden Saber has been sentenced to serve up to five years in prison for a deadly crash last year that killed two boys.

The now 19-year-old Saber pleaded guilty to manslaughter and homicide by vehicle in the December 2023 deaths of 14-year-old Jonathan Tourney and 18-year-old Taylor Orlowski.

Saber’s attorney, Casey White, tells KDKA Radio his client will spent between two and a half to five years in state penitentiary. That will be followed by four years of prohibition.

Saber was driving his mother’s SUV two days before Christmas on Irwin Road around 3:30 a.m., doing around 70 mph.

The vehicle crashed into a tree after he was unable to go around a bend.

The Crash instantly killed Orlowski and Tourney died during transport to the hospital.

Three others in the Ranger Rover at the of the crash survived.

White adds that Saber showed a lot of compassion during the plea and that there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, including the presiding judge.
