The Pirates begin their 2024 journey on Thursday when they take on the Marlins in Miami.
Then, a week later, the Pirates will open PNC Park with some new ballpark treats, courtesy of Aramark.
The food and beverage provider of PNC Park says the newest addition to its food lineup includes the Renegade Hot Dog, named after closer David Bednar.
It’s a Pittsburgh food lover’s dream.
Foot-long hot dog, pot roast, mini pierogis, caramelized onions, and pickle slices on a hot dog bun.
The Renegade Dog will be available in section 133.
Aramark is also partnering with LowKey Taco.
Roasted corn on the cob, birria beef and caramel-stuffed churros will be available at Nachorita in section 138.
Coop de Ville will offer chicken biscuits with pickles and more at the Chicken on the Hill stand in section 144.
Other menu items include the “classic ballpark favorites” Cheddar and Chive Bratwurst in section 127 (Chive bratwurst inside a Martin’s Potato Roll with peppers, onions, and deli brown mustard), and Pitt Dog at Deli Dogs in section 135, (Hot dog topped with capicola, provolone cheese, vinegar slaw, and potato sticks on a Martin’s Potato Roll.)
For dessert, how about some “Sweet Pierogi”? It’s “Sweet cheese pierogi topped with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar.” The sweet pierogi is located at Cannonball Burger in second 146.
