A Jeannette man has been arrested and charged with attempted rape, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and several additional charges for attacking a woman on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail on Tuesday.
Murrysville Police arrested 30-year-old Colton Stennett after they were called to the trail when the victim told investigators she was grabbed and thrown to the ground.
She told police she kicked and bit the man and he took her phone and fled when a bicyclist approached.
Police established a perimeter and found Stennett in a wooded area on Meadowbrook Road in Franklin Township.
Stennett fit the description given by the alleged victim and was taken into custody.
