Two dogs are dead after a fire in Beltzhoover Friday morning.
Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire says just before 8 a.m., crews responded to the 800 block of Climax Street after callers to 911 reported smoke coming from a second-story window.
Two dogs were rescued from the one-alarm fire but both ultimately died.
No other injuries were reported and the fire was put out in about 20 minutes.
The Red Cross is assisting to those affected and an investigation to determine a cause is underway.
