Hopewell Township police are investigating a dog attack involving two children Monday.
Two 11-year-old girls were mauled by a pit bull mix in Autumn Ridge.
Authorities say the dog, which was not on a leash, is registered to a couple in the neighborhood who adopted it from the Beaver County Humane Society about two months ago.
They say they intend to return the dog today. Police have not said if they will cite the dog's owners.
