Two people charged after 2 year old is hospitalized

The 2 year old overdosed while in their care.

Monessen Police and Westmoreland County Detectives have charged two people after a 2-year-old they were caring for overdosed and was hospitalized.

It happened last month.

Sable Ford and Travis Holmes told police the child found a baggie in the front yard of a home on Linden Avenue and put it in its mouth.

After the toddler went limp, the couple took the child to Children's Hospital where tests were positive for cocaine and fentanyl.

Police later found more baggies in the house which tested positive for cocaine.

Ford and Holmes are facing child endangerment and drug charges.
