UPDATE: Route 68 has reopened.
Two people are dead and a stretch of Route 68 in Butler County is closed after a multi-vehicle crash Friday morning.
The effected section is between the intersections of Old Route 68, Buhl road and Brownsdale Road in Forward Township and Connoquenessing Borough.
Pennsylvania State Police say there two cars were involved in the crash and that there are serious injuries.
According to multiple reports, first responders found two people deceased at the scene.
There is no word on when the road will reopen.
