Two shot, one dead at manufacturing factory in Blawnox

At least two people have been shot and one person is dead after a shooting in Blawnox.

Police and paramedics were called to the Tri-Arc Manufacturing factory in the 300 block of Fountain Street around 6:35 a.m.

One female and one male were shot. The female was pronounced dead at the scene. The male was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police have identified the shooter as 42-year-old Sean Black of Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County.

Detectives say Black was also an employee at the Tri-Arc Manufacturing factory. He was taken into custody.

Black faces several charges including homicide and attempted homicide.

Allegheny County Police believe the incident was “domestic in nature” at this point.

The scene is secure and there is no active threat to the public.
