Two taken to hospital after late-night fire in Washington County

Two people with burn injuries were flown to a hospital from the scene of a late-night house fire in Washington County.

The fire was reported around 12:30 a.m. at a home on North Main Street in Midway Borough.

One of the injured, a man was treated and released from West Penn Hospital.

Fire crews say there was severe hoarding inside the house which was apparently destroyed by the fire.

Midway Volunteer Fire Department was joined by Sturgeon and Oak Ridge Volunteer Fire Departments to help battle the fire.

95 percent of fire fighters in the state of Pennsylvania are volunteer.
