Hey folks, this is HUGE! A big big update to tell you about for the Gold Star mom and daughter we've been telling you about.

Here's a quick recap (You can also check out the original story above with Arianna Bazzy and Patrick O'Connor) Tina and Tabitha Hillman moved to the Pittsburgh area to be close to Tina's grandchildren and her daughter-in-law who moved here to be with family. Tina's son, Sgt. Nathan Hillman was shot and killed by another soldier at Georgia's Fort Stewart in December.

In the process of moving Tina lost her remote contract job and has been searching for new employment. That is where my friend and business owner Norm Candelore has stepped up, offering them both jobs at Candelore's Barking Beauties. Norm's team is now training them to be dog groomers at his Irwin location.

In the video on this page, you'll see why this is so important to Norm and how it should make a huge difference for these wonderful ladies.

Since arriving in Western Pennsylvania from Florida, Tina and Tabitha have been living on an old school bus they were planning to convert into a home.  An anonymous stranger helped get them through the coldest parts of winter, but they are still looking for a more permanent home with their four small dogs.  They originally had more than two dozen animals from the rescue they ran in Florida, but local shelters have helped with placement.

With the help of attorney Vince Quatrini and the Quatrini Law Group, Tina was able to recover the deposit she put down on a property that wasn't suitable.

Sometimes it takes a village, and this community has truly embraced Tina and Tabitha so they can stay here near their family.
