A local school district was targeted in an apparent nationwide hoax, prompting it to move to a secured status.
But, the Upper Saint Clair School District says schools are now operating normally and the students and staff are safe.
The details of the threat haven't been released, but Superintendent John Rozzo says local and federal authorities determined it was a hoax, and the investigation will continue to pursue legal action against those responsible.
Rozzo says it's important for students to report anything suspicious, and it's equally important for families to discuss the potential consequences of even joking about making a threat against their school.
