ORIGINAL STORY — Jury deliberations are underway in the trial of former Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Felipe Vazquez.

He's on trial for sexual assault, accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl.

Defense attorneys have argued that Vazquez was baited into sexual acts with the girl, who lied about her age, allegedly telling him she was 17 going on 18 when they first met.

Vazquez testified that he even asked the girl for ID and that she gave him a fake, which she denies.

Prosecutors argued there were plenty of signs that she was underage.

The two apparently exchanged sexually explicit texts and images and engaged in sexual acts over a period of more than two years, beginning in 2017.

We'll continue to follow this story and let you know when the jury reaches a verdict.
