PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) While responding to a different call, Pittsburgh Police officers heard multiple gunshots from the 3100 block of McClure Avenue.
Just before 2:00 a.m. the officers arrived at the scene and began investigating the area.
They approached a vehicle that they believed had a victim in the backseat.
The vehicle took off from police who pursued all the way to a local hospital.
Upon arriving, police discovered the backseat did have a victim with a critical gunshot wound, possibly wounds.
The officers began applying CPR to the victim.
They took the male into the hospital where he later died from the wounds.
Three men were later taken to police headquarters for questioning.
An investigation is open and detectives processed evidence from the original crime scene and the hospital.
