PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Large festival gatherings may not be possible in Pennsylvania due to COVID-19 mitigation restrictions, but that's not stopping one Pittsburgh area beer distributor.
Brentwood Distributing in West Mifflin is holding BeerFest2U - a virtual festival which will include celebrity and musical guests.
In addition, the distributor, which operates Beverages2U, says they will deliver two dozen craft beers to participants so they can join a virtual tasting.
"We felt the time was right to bring everyone together in Pennsylvania, at a time when we all could use a cold beer and a little fun," says Michelle Dangelo Arnoni, founder of Beverages2U and co-founder of the event.
Arnoni said the virtual event will also help support local charities. "Every year we will be picking a different charity to donate to. This year we chose Tip Jar Pittsburgh and Philly. Proceeds will be donated directly to restaurants workers who have signed up to be on the receiving end. We would love to sell as many tickets as we can, so we can give back as much as we can!"
Guests for the event include Flavor Flav, former Pittsburgh Pirates player and broadcaster Steve Blass, comedian Pittsburgh Dad, and Iceburgh from the Pittsburgh Penguins as well as musical acts Alana Solomon and G LOVE.
Tickets for the event are available now on the company's website.
