Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to visit Pittsburgh Wednesday afternoon.
Ms. Harris' will expand on her concept of an "opportunity economy" in a speech at the Economic Club of Pittsburgh.
Polls show the economy is Pennsylvania voters the top issue, so today's campaign stop gives the vice president an opportunity to close a gap with Donald Trump on the issue.
Surveys show the state's voters trust the former president more when it comes to the economy.
Nationally, a recent Real Clear Politics poll has Harris ahead of Trump by just 6-tenths of a percentage point.
Harris' visit follows former President Donald Trump, who made several stops around Western PA on Monday.
