Former President Donald Trump held a rally at Indiana University of Pennsylvania last night after events in Westmoreland County earlier in the day.

Supporters filled Ed Fry Arena, which seats about 5,000 people, to hear Mr. Trump talk about the economy, immigration, fracking and the future of U.S. Steel.

“We are also going to keep U.S. Steel right here in America,” said Trump.

Early, Trump spoke at a farming roundtable in Smithton attended by people concerned about China's impact on U.S. agriculture.

Later, Mr. Trump made a stop at Sprankle’s grocery store in Kittanning, helping a woman pay for her groceries and bought some popcorn.

During the rally at IUP, the former president said American farmers are struggling:

“We have a deal in place that China is supposed to buy 50 billion dollars of our product and they are not living up to it and they were living up to it,” said Trump.

He added, if he's reelected, he would place 200% tariff on John Deere products if the company moves its manufacturing to Mexico, as announced in June.

Trump campaign sources say the former president will return to the site of the assassination attempt in Butler.

A rally is being scheduled for Saturday October 5 at the Butler Farm Show fairgrounds.

Kamala Harris will visit Pittsburgh Wednesday. A senior advisor says the vice president will make a major economic policy speech in her fourth visit to the city since becoming the Democratic nominee. No word yet where and when Harris will speak.
