KDKA Radio Editorial: We Stand With The People of Israel

Josh Wonder, a Pittsburgher born in McKeesport, now living in Israel, said on the Big K Morning Show this past week that he has seen evil up close with his own eyes. Josh was an eyewitness to last week's unprovoked terrorist attack against the people of Israel, who were brutally and unmercifully ambushed by militants of Hamas.

Hamas paragliders invaded an open-air music festival attended by many young Israelis killing more than two hundred people.  This was just one aspect of the organized attack by the militant organization.

This on the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War involving Israel against Syria and Egypt.

In the days that followed, the Israeli military has enlisted more than 300,000 reservists.

Bombs and missiles have reigned down in the Gaza Strip as Israel tries to eradicate Hamas.

Thousands have been killed or injured in this short battle, and more than 200,000 Palestinians are seeking refuge.

There are many in this country and here in Pittsburgh that have ties and families in Israel.  Their stories are heartbreaking.

We stand strong with the Jewish community here in Pittsburgh and overseas, and hope for an end to all of the hate and violence that is before us.
