Weekend of violence leaves five shot, one dead

Five people have been shot, one of them fatally, since early Sunday in the Pittsburgh area.

The most recent shooting happened Sunday night in Knoxville.

A 16-year-old girl was wounded in the arm around 10 p.m. in the area of East Amanda Avenue.  She was in stable condition.

A half hour earlier, two women were wounded in Penn Hills, on Frankstown Road near the intersection with McCutcheon Lane.

One woman was in critical condition, the other was stable.

Early Sunday in South Oakland, a woman was in critical condition after being shot in the chest.

Police say it happened around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of 5th and Craft Avenues.

And, around 1 a.m. Sunday a 16-year-old boy was killed in the 3000 block of Addison Street.

He had gunshot wounds to the head, chest and arm and died at the scene.
