Greensburg chief Shawn Denning was escorted from City Hall Tuesday by DEA agents and later released on $250,000 bond.
Denning allegedly connected a federal source with out-of-state suppliers the source purchased drugs from as part of an investigation.
That confidential DEA source has prior convictions and was cooperating in the hope of receiving a more lenient sentence for charges related to theft of government property and distributing marijuana.
Denning is charged with aiding and abetting the distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine and conspiring to distribute controlled drugs.
