The vote was 2-1, along party lines, to have voters use Postal Service mailboxes instead.

Democrat Gina Cerilli Thrasher cast the only down vote, telling the NewsRadio KDKA Morning Show one drop box in the courthouse affects senior citizens and people with disabilities.

“They are the ones that can’t go all the way to Greensburg. They can’t park their car. They can’t walk to the courthouse. Those are the individuals that really took advantage of the drop boxes and the ones that will be at a disadvantage this election.”

Voters can mail a ballot using one of the 396 USPS mailboxes and offices in Westmoreland County.
