Westmoreland County attorney involved in standoff with police has died

The Westmoreland County attorney who was involved in a standoff with police last weekend has now died.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office says 61-year-old Robert Klingensmith died Wednesday.

Police say Klingensmith had shot himself during the standoff as they were trying to executive a search warrant.

Klingensmith was charged last week with theft and other crimes stemming from an investigation into what happened to funds from a late client's estate.
