A woman is accused of attempting to fill a Xanax prescription for her dog, four months after it had been euthanized.

The Tribune Review reports 38-year-old Bobbi Jo Vaia, of Delmont who works as a veterinary technician, filled a legitimate Xanax prescription for the dog five times after the animal was euthanized.

She was arrested Friday on charges of identity theft and other offenses, she posted a $50,000 bail and was released from the Westmoreland County prison.

The dog was legitimately prescribed the medication in March, about a month before the dog was euthanized, but it's alleged Vaia filled five prescriptions between April and August.

A preliminary hearing is set for October 10th.
