Friday’s night’s high school football game between Woodland Hills at Fox Chapel will go on as planned, attendance will be limited.
In a joint statement, the two districts say that the game will be limited to players’ parents and guardians “due to an unspecified Safe2Say threat.”
In addition to the limited attendance security will be increased and a clear bag policy will be in effect.
“No other community members, including student spectators, band members, or cheerleaders, will be permitted to attend the game,” the joint statement reads.
No other details were made available about the specific threat that prompted the safety measures.
“The district will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates if circumstances change.”
The same restrictions were put in place between Penn Hills and Gateway two weeks ago.
