Following a school board meeting where the future of James Harris was the main topic.

This meeting comes just a day after James Harris told News Radio KDKA that the school board president requested he resign from his position.

Harris stated there was no reason given for the request other than wanting to go in different directions.

Regardless of the request, it was determined by school board vote that Harris would be terminated as Woodland Hills superintendent.

Between nine school board members, the votes tallied 8-1 in favor of termination.

No motive has been given regarding the dismissal, but there has been an increase in fights, violence, and threats within the school.

Harris’ last day will be Dec. 17.
