There's a new gift set for coffee and horror movie fanatics.
The zombie-themed package pay homage to the 1978 George A. Romero horror film "Dawn of the Dead" and features coffee from a McKees Rocks roaster.
The "Yawn of the Dead" set features a red coffee mug with the words "Yawn of the Dead" on one side and "When there's no more coffee...the dead will go back to bed" on the other side.
It also includes a bag of "Yawn of the Dead" dark roast coffee beans from Black Forge Coffee.
The set comes from Alternate Histories and is available on their website. The items can also be purchased individually.
“I had been wanting to do a mug design for a while but didn’t love the idea of just throwing a design on a mug. I wanted the design to speak to what the object is; in this case, a mug that I drink my morning coffee from. I designed the mug and reached out to Black Forge Coffee Shop in McKees Rocks, and they created this delicious dark roast for the package. Finally I’ve got my own coffee blend!”
