President Joe Biden visited Kentucky Wednesday to get a first-hand look at the devastation caused by last week’s tornadoes. But not everyone in the Bluegrass State was happy to see the Commander-In-Chief.

A Trump flag and shouts of “Let’s go, Brandon!” met the President as he exited his motorcade, according to BBC News’s Tara McKelvey.

The derogatory phrase has become a rallying cry for some on the right. It originated from a misheard chant at a NASCAR race in October, when an NBC reporter thought the profane refrain of “F—k Joe Biden” was instead a show of support for winning driver Brandon Brown.

Since that on-air mistake, “Let’s go, Brandon” has grown in popularity among supporters of former President Donald Trump in particular.

Biden’s itinerary included a stop at Fort Campbell to speak with Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and a briefing at an airport in Mayfield, Ky., before an aerial look at the destruction.

Biden also surveyed the damage at ground level with a drive through damaged areas.

“It will take all of us, working together, to recover and begin rebuilding — and we are committed to providing whatever support is needed for however long it takes,” Biden tweeted. He also told local leaders, “Don’t hesitate to ask for anything” as the state begins its recovery.
