People in Hawaii who were dreaming of the perfect fried chicken sandwich may just get their prayers answered.

The Aloha State is getting its first Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Maui will be the first Hawaiian island to get a Chick-fil-A next month, with other locations expected to open through the beginning of next year.

The new drive-thru restaurant is located near a Lowe's Home Improvement store in Kahului, KITV reported. The new location features a 900-square-foot patio area so you can enjoy the tropical sunshine while feasting.

The fast-food chain said the restaurant has subtle design touches to honor the local culture and community including Hawaiian language, native landscaping and local design motifs.

The company also took the climate into consideration. Click-fil-A partnered with clothing brands that design cooling vests and moisture-wicking uniforms for team members who walk the drive-thru line and take orders in-person, the company said in a statement.

The restaurant will open September 1. To celebrate the opening, Chick-fil-A has donated $25,000 to the Maui Food Bank. The company is also recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.

The Atlanta-based chain announced back in January that it was finally bringing its famous chicken sandwiches and waffle fries to the islands.

Three other Chick-fil-A locations are set to open by early 2023 -- all on the island of O'ahu: two in Honolulu and one in Kapolei.

The company said it is also planning to open "several restaurants" throughout the state over the next five years.
