The news that a search warrant was issued in the long-gone cold case of Tupac Shakur's murder had the world buzzing last week and Julie Grant from CourtTV joined the Bubba Show on Audacy network to say his death will definitely be solved.
She revealed that the latest information may exonerate Suge Knight, who has long been a suspect in public imagination. And it may even prove Tupac's death was not gang-related or rap world related at all, she said.
Tupac was shot to death in 1996 at 25 years old in Las Vegas. He was at a red light with Suge Knight in the car with him when a white Cadillac pulled up next to him and opened fire, snuffing out the bright star.
Now here's the latest twist: Grant told the radio show a search warrant was carried out at the home of the wife of Keefe D. Davis, an alleged member of the South Side Crips and a convicted drug dealer. Grant said the night he was killed, Tupac had punched Keefe's nephew in a dispute over a gold chain.
"The story goes that Tupac punched a man named Orlando Anderson, who is the nephew of Keefe D ... Keefe D gets pinched for dope and goes to prison and investigators in L.A. started talking to him," Grant said, adding that she has interviewed a detective who has talked to Keefe and he allegedly admitted he gave his nephew a gun.
Keefe had allegedly written a memoir about his life of crime and had it stored in his wife's house. The manuscript was taken by police in the Tupac search warrant, along with other items, Grant said.
"If this was a conspiracy with his nephew, then he could definitely be charged," Grant said.
