President Joe Biden will continue signing executive orders on Wednesday. He will continue his focus on reducing emissions and climate change.

Dave Spigelmyer, President of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, said “Producing, transporting and delivering energy isn’t a republican or a democrat thing, so I would just say my comments aren’t meant to be political, but the decisions made in the first week of this administration have sent a pretty chilling effect across the industry.”

The United States is the only advanced country in the world that has made major changes to improve emissions. Sulfur dioxide emissions, Nitrogen oxide emissions, volatile organic compound emissions and carbon dioxide emissions have dramatically reduced over the last few years, according to Spigelmyer.

“My biggest concern is that you start taking pipelines off, we’re going to start to see energy start to increase in price,” Spigelmyer said. “The people that get hurt the most by the increased cost for energy are folks of low income and folks on fixed income.”
