The niece of former President Donald Trump, Mary Trump, appeared to take a shot at her uncle last week after reports surfaced that he dozed off during the first day of his New York hush money criminal trial.

The report about Trump falling asleep came from The New York Times, which said he “appeared to nod off a few times” with “his mouth going slack and his head drooping onto his chest.”

While speaking with “The Dean Obeidallah Show” on SiriusXM, Mary Trump appeared to joke about the report while referencing her uncle.

“I’m a little worried that narcolepsy runs in the family,” Mary Trump said, Mediate reported.

She went on to say that she thinks “we can’t underestimate the extent of the depth of the narcissistic injury” her uncle is “suffering” in his trial.

“One, he’s in a situation in which [he] has no control, and worse, he is under the control of somebody else,” Mary Trump continued. “There is somebody else in that room with all of the authority, and he has none. So, that’s already problematic for him.”

Trump is facing 34 counts of falsifying business records in retaliation to reimbursements to his former attorney, who allegedly paid adult film star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an alleged affair she had with the former president. He has maintained his innocence, denying the payments and relationship.

Trump’s trial began on Monday, and while speaking to reporters on Tuesday, he placed some of the blame for his situation on his accountants.

“I was paying a lawyer, and we marked it down as a legal expense — some accountant. I didn’t know,” Trump told reporters. “Mark it down as a legal expense. That’s exactly what it was. And you get indicted over that?”
