The Powerball jackpot soared to an estimated $1.4 billion after it went winnerless once again on Wednesday, making it the third-largest jackpot in the game’s history.
The winning numbers on Wednesday were 9, 35, 54, 63, 64 and Powerball 1.
The prize for Saturday’s game will be the fifth largest US lottery jackpot, according to Powerball.
The potential winner who matches all six numbers will be able to choose between an estimated lump sum of $643.7 million or an annuitized option worth the total prize, paid out over 29 years. Both options are before taxes.
While no one took home the grand prize on Wednesday, seven players did win $1 million each by matching all five numbers, minus the Powerball.
The tickets were sold in California, Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
Another three tickets activated the game’s “power play” multiplier, which won players in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Texas $2 million.
Now, players will have three days to mull over their potential numbers, as Saturday’s drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. EST.
The odds of taking home the $1.4 billion is 1 in 292.2 million, but the odds of winning altogether, including the lower prizes, is 1 in 24.9.
