Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth took quick action on Saturday at Steelers Training Camp in Latrobe after two men got into an altercation in the fan area.
Video shows the recently married Freiermuth picking up a child, making sure they were okay, as two men fought.
According to people in the area, the two men were jockeying for an area to get autographs.
Steeler fans around the area helped quickly defuse the situation.
Fred Rodgers’ always said to “look for the helpers” and in the heart of his hometown, it was Freiermuth and the Steeler fans around the area that helped quickly defuse the situation and prevent a child to possible injury.
The Steelers are off Sunday and will put on pads for the first time at Training Camp on Monday at St. Vincent College.
