A federal judge is expected to rule today on a lawsuit over the 45th District Senate seat in Pennsylvania after Senate Republicans leaders refused to swear-in Democrat Jim Brewster last week.
Brewster defeated republican challenger Nicole Ziccarelli by 69 votes, but Ziccarelli challenged the result stating that some mail-in ballots without a date stamped on them should not have counted.
The state supreme court ruled against Ziccarelli and upheld Brewster's victory, but now a federal court is considering the case.
