In our nation’s capital Tuesday, a group of lawmakers held a press conference, calling for members of Congress to be banned from trading stocks.

Among them was U.S. Senator John Fetterman.

“Lawmakers should not be able to profit off of the same companies they are regulating, it’s just that simple,” said Fetterman. “Letting members of Congress trade stocks open to the door of corruption, lawmakers should be focused on getting results, not lining their own pockets.”

Monday was Fetterman's first day back to the Senate, since checking himself in to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive treatment for clinical depression back on February 16.
