Amendment passes in PA House that would end closed primaries

Could Pennsylvania be getting rid of closed primaries?

Right now, only voters registered under a political party can vote for candidates in the state's primaries.

But an amendment before the State House this week passed 112-90 that would end Pennsylvania's closed primaries.

A similar bill in the Senate remains in committee.
